So yeah, I think I will go ahead and go to Japan this coming August. I will only be there for 9 days… the highlight would be Arashi’s concert of course… And yes, Abbey, I will not forget your rice cooker. Itinerary…

1. August 25 - Arrive in Tokyo. Walk around as it will already be nightfall when I get to my "hostel." I won’t be staying there alot anyways, so for $20 a night, I got myself a really good deal.

2. August 26 - Get out of bed really early. I am headed for Nagoya to see my much missed aunt Dina and my cute cousin Masaki. Nagoya is about a 2 hour ride in the Shinkansen. At least that’s what I’m told. Stay there until the 28th. I will also be checking Okazaki out…

3. August 28 - Head back to Tokyo. I just want to see Harajuku! And see a little bit of Tokyo.

4. August 29 - Wake up really, really, really early. Next stop is Yokohama. It’s Arashi’s concert, baby! I will finally see my Sho-kun, Oh-chan, Ma-chan, Nino, and Jun! The concert time that I have (they have three concerts per day, can you believe it?) is 14:30… but I have to buy the posters and stuff like that… Hahaha. Afterwards… well, if I get extra an extra ticket from scalpers, I might go again. But I also want to see some parts of Yokohama.

5. August 30 This time, I am headed for Nagano to see my cousins Ate Jean, Nina (she’s getting married! Yay!), and Kakay. Yes, I have a lot of family in Japan. Leave on August 31.

6. September 1 - God knows where I’ll go… but I will definitely be staying in the Tokyo area… but I also want to si Chiba-ken because that’s where Aiba-ka lives! Hahaha… The rest lives in Tokyo, by the way…

Oh yeah, I saw old pictures of Aiba getting it on with an anorexic monster… she only looked good on those pictures because Aiba was there with her. Damn her. She sold those pictures to the tabloids to get some attention and Ma-chan got in big trouble. He almost got booted out of Arashi… good thing he wasn’t… It’s an old story, but still!

If you have been to friendster lately, you would notice that your bulletin board is flooded with the headline about some person flashing her boobs in an embassy. Funny… I was not fooled though because the URL was pretty sketchy from the start… I did check the URL but I logged out of friendster first… good thing I did. Remember when this sick guy made a really good friendster page but it automatically made my account generate a bulletin board post about seeing an "awesome friendster account" ? I learned from that.

Moving on with my life… I am contemplating an 18 month retreat from this universe to somewhere farther away. I will have to talk to my parents about it… I will not talk to them to ask for permission but to ask for their blessing. Not because I HAVE TO since I still live with them and I am practically a parasite in our household, but because my parents are important to me. I believe that if I tell them that I sam erious about this - which I very much am - then they will let me. My parents are really good people underneath all the good natured nagging I get everyday.

I still have a month to slack off… but I want to try a couple of things before school hits again… I want to try Kendo… it’s pretty cool. I’ve always wanted to do combat arts especially those that utilizes a weapon of sort. Eskrima is also a top choice. I also want to try making a jambalaya. Hahaha… inspired by a Carpenters song and my mother’s cookbook… I might just make it.

A couple of people I know are getting married. In true loser tradition, I am living in a rather harsh perpective. People my age have already graduated from college, working, or building a family… and here I am, still an undergraduate (loving the student life… NOT!) and planning to go halfway around the planet just to see a concert. Hahaha… I feel pathetic sometimes, you know? My best friend seems like she is crazy too but I know that is on the right track. She may seem out of it but she is pretty much on solid ground… she enjoys the things she likes but never fails to keep her priorities straight. As opposed to yours truly who always uses her emotions before her brain and an extremist that never settles for a compromise. If I want something, I want it all, and that is all I want. I seem to forget everything… I drop all my previous plans and go on with the next… I am too freakin’ flexible in my life plans, I would put a bamboo to shame. So I guess my 18 month crucible would not be such a bad idea, especially if I come out of it a better, more independent person… Hopefully all works well. It also kind of makes me realize that I do not know my priorities, what I want, and if I really love anything or anyone… They say that if you love someone, you focus on something that you feel will be the best for your beloved… so I guess all I love is myself. I disregard everything as long as I can get what I want or be where where I want to be in life.

Maybe I do KNOW what I want but I keep on considering other people that instead of making a decision which is which, I am stuck here and eternally trapped. I need to do something. Shit.

On to other things, I went to the DMV today and got my Permit, for the third freakin’ time. My last two expired… I passed the exam (by golly, of course!) and I am all set to drive again. I know how to drive but I suck at parallel parking. God never intended everyone to drive and I guess I am one of them, but what can I do? Seems like I was assigned to the wrong civilization… Then again, will Arashi be elsewhere? Nah… So I am gonna suck it up and bear with it.

I am listening to 瞳 の 中 の Galaxy (Hitomi No Naka No Galaxy) by Arashi… I am head over heels for that song, add to that Nino’s guitar solo — men who play a mean guitar rocks my world! I also know a couple of Chinese and Japanese artists that are really good like Mayday, 5566, Yui, and Tommy February6. By the way, did you know Tommy sang the theme song for ParaKiss? Ya Ya Yaaa!

Even though I was not able to go to China this Summer (or this coming Fall. I’ll be off on February! I forgot to congratulate my mom when she passed her NCLEX examination. She is one smart person… She didn’t have much time to study because she has her little baby and four big babies (my dad, my two younger brothers, and me) to take care of… Haha! Congratulations mom! We are so very proud of you… I got her a Japanese Maple Leaf plant as a gift–actually she was shopping for it and then she wondered (aloud) how come nobody gave her a gift so I volunteered to pay for it the last minute… Hahaha! BUT she promised to get me a Hello Kitty Cellphone! Yay! Thanks in advance momma!

So… I have decided what to study for college and what I will do in the future. Really. I recently applied to double major in History and Political Science. History, of course is my main major… Minor in Chinese (or Japanese, whichever I decide) Studies… As for the career, I can not really say what exactly and all I can say is it’s for the government. Anyways, if I don’t get that dream job, I will just teach English in China (or Japan)… So yeah, I’m good.

This past week has been exhausting for me. My cousins from Oregon and my uncle (and his family) from Texas came over. It was fun though because I got to hang out with my beautiful and fun cousins that I get to see once every couple of years. They are so pretty… Middie and Larissa, hoorah! We went to Dockweiler Beach and had a really good time — we played touch football that eventually turned into a plain tackling fest. I’ve got bruises to prove it… Hahaha! But that wasn’t the highlight of the night… Larissa asked me to go for a walk by the shore when Middie followed us and then they decided that it was a good idea to take take me down and so I was attacked by two seemingly innocent girls and I ended up being soaked in the middle of a cold summer night with no change of clothes to offer hope. I am no different from them though because I HAD to do the same to them and one of the sisters happily obliged. Larissa helped me push Middie to the water but us three ended up falling down anyways. As if it wasn’t enough, Larissa chased after me and tackled me on the sand so I was a walking sand sculpture in a matter of seconds. Good thing our aunt and uncle got spare clothes, but, needless to say, I was wearing no underwear on our trip home.
The next day, we went to Universal Studios and I got a new Annual Pass! Yay! It was fun… Jurassic Park and The Mummy made my day. Thank you very much. I got sunburned though and my face is, up to now, red and raw. They went home yesterday but they’ll be back on August for the wedding…. We’re planning to go to Magic Mountain next!

He is someone I knew back in high school and the only one I had a crush one when I was with someone else. I don’t know much about him but so far he is nice and is fun to talk with. We talk about the past and the "what ifs." Though it is pointless, it is sort of good to think about how are future would have been different if we chose each other. He’s a good person…

Though love can not be defined nor can it be explained fully, I can tell you the many things I love about these boys. It may seem to you that I am just one of those crazy fans and I will not stop you from thinking so… so be it. But there’s more to it than good music and good looks…

Let’s start with the obvious ones…
1. They are good looking. To the untrained eye, Nino, Ohno, Jun, Aiba, and Sho are just Japanese boys. Period. Look closer and you’ll find yourself drooling…

2. They have good music. Even though I can am barely capable of stringing together a Japanese sentence and only know a few words (Arashi, Kawaii, Yatta, Itte, Ganbate, Des, Ohayou, Sumimasen, Arigatou, and Itadakimasu are all I know), the good Lord blessed mankind with subtitles. Their songs have good meanings and messages that comforts my rather frail soul.

3. They are talented in singing, dancing, and acting. Have you seen their dramas? Gokusen, Stand Up, and Kazunari Cat Eyes to name a few… If only there is a subtitled version of Pikanchi…

I have been watching Arashi videos in Youtube for a while now and they have a million clips over there… What I saw caught my heart…

2. If not brothers, the best of friends. There are clips where they express how much they love each other and even if they don’t say a word, you could see how they act towards each other.

After a long debate over China and Japan, and after a million solicitation of opinions and brainstorming, I have decided to go to China. I feel sort of heartbroken that I will not be learning the language of my loves but then again, I have to think of the future too, ya? Plus, if I tackle Mandarin right now, I could move on to Nihonggo right away, so I just have to work my hardest! Chayo!
