The many reasons I love 嵐 (Arashi) … by Kitty (Yes, that’s me)
-
Though love can not be defined nor can it be explained fully, I can tell you the many things I love about these boys. It may seem to you that I am just one of those crazy fans and I will not stop you from thinking so… so be it. But there’s more to it than good music and good looks…
-
Let’s start with the obvious ones…
1. They are good looking. To the untrained eye, Nino, Ohno, Jun, Aiba, and Sho are just Japanese boys. Period. Look closer and you’ll find yourself drooling…
-
2. They have good music. Even though I can am barely capable of stringing together a Japanese sentence and only know a few words (Arashi, Kawaii, Yatta, Itte, Ganbate, Des, Ohayou, Sumimasen, Arigatou, and Itadakimasu are all I know), the good Lord blessed mankind with subtitles. Their songs have good meanings and messages that comforts my rather frail soul.
-
3. They are talented in singing, dancing, and acting. Have you seen their dramas? Gokusen, Stand Up, and Kazunari Cat Eyes to name a few… If only there is a subtitled version of Pikanchi…
-
4. Sense of humor. What can I say?
-
Now, for the less obvious ones…
I have been watching Arashi videos in Youtube for a while now and they have a million clips over there… What I saw caught my heart…
-
1. They are brothers. They treat each other like brothers…
-
2. If not brothers, the best of friends. There are clips where they express how much they love each other and even if they don’t say a word, you could see how they act towards each other.
-
3. They’re human. Their videos show that they are not just another boy band but they are humans. G no Arashi!
-
4. Aiba’s letter made me cry.
-
-
I don’t remember when and how I came to know them… it’s either my best friend Abbey told me about them or I looked them up after I saw Hana Yori Dango…
-
After a long debate over China and Japan, and after a million solicitation of opinions and brainstorming, I have decided to go to China. I feel sort of heartbroken that I will not be learning the language of my loves but then again, I have to think of the future too, ya? Plus, if I tackle Mandarin right now, I could move on to Nihonggo right away, so I just have to work my hardest! Chayo!
-
Abbey finally knows about my love for Sho-kun and she was fine about it… NOT! Hahaha… But it will be settled before her birthday. I promise.
-
-
Now, I live in fear that Arashi will break-up or move on individually especially now that Riida (Ohno leader) is 26… God knows… I will definitely be heartbroken if they should stop being my beloved Arashi!
-
On my next post I will tell you about an old flame… ye?
-
So there. Till my next ranting session.
